Mobile Sampling Container

The Mobile Sample Container (MSC) is an ergonomically designed collection and transport solution for large sample volumes. Built to support safe and efficient movement of bulk samples from collection points to laboratories or sample preparation facilities, the MSC reduces the physical demands on operators during what is often a repetitive and physically taxing part of the sample handling workflow. Its design prioritises both operator comfort and sample integrity throughout the transport process, making it a practical and reliable solution for mining, environmental, and industrial laboratory environments where large volume sample collection is a routine operational requirement.
The Mobile Sampling Container offers an efficient, safe solution for bulk sample handling:
- Ideal when samples are too large for standard buckets
- Ergonomically designed to minimize manual handling injuries
- Reduces operational downtime and maintenance costs
- Angled internal walls ensure fast, complete emptying
The Mobile Sample Container (MSC) is a manually operated unit designed for efficient and ergonomic bulk sample handling in mining, industrial, and laboratory environments. It combines a large sample bin with a hydraulic scissor lift table, giving operators the ability to raise, lower, and reposition the container with ease while wheel brakes provide stability during filling and emptying operations.
The sample bin features a top-mounted material intake that allows bulk samples to be loaded directly from above, keeping the collection process straightforward and minimising spillage during filling. A release handle enables safe controlled tilting of the bin, with a front flap opening to allow the contents to be emptied efficiently without requiring operators to manually lift or tip heavy sample loads. Internal angled walls support complete discharge of material with minimal residue remaining in the bin after emptying, reducing cleanup time between sample batches and improving overall throughput in high-volume sample handling workflows.
The hydraulic scissor lift mechanism allows the bin height to be adjusted to suit different loading and unloading configurations, reducing the need for operators to work in awkward or physically demanding positions during routine sample handling. This ergonomic design reduces the risk of strain and injury associated with manual bulk sample handling, which is particularly important in environments where sample collection and transport are performed repeatedly throughout the working day.
The MSC is well suited to mining operations, industrial processing facilities, and laboratory sample preparation environments where large volume sample collection, transport, and discharge are regular operational requirements and where operator safety and workflow efficiency are ongoing priorities.
The Mobile Sample Container is operated without the need for dedicated control software, reflecting its straightforward manually powered design. Height adjustment is managed directly through the hydraulic scissor lift mechanism, and all operational functions including raising, lowering, braking, and bin release are handled through physical controls built into the unit. This approach keeps the system simple to operate across different users and environments without requiring training on software interfaces or digital control systems.
For facilities integrating the MSC into a broader automated sample handling workflow, the unit is compatible with AUTONOMA’s wider laboratory automation ecosystem, allowing it to serve as a practical and reliable component within a larger connected sample preparation and transport process.
